Description
TADALA 10MG TAB” is a brand name for a 10 mg tablet of the active ingredient tadalafil. Tadalafil is a prescription medication belonging to a class of drugs called phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5) inhibitors.
Uses
Tadalafil is approved for the treatment of several conditions in adult men:
- Erectile Dysfunction (ED): It helps men achieve and maintain an erection when sexually stimulated by increasing blood flow to the penis.
- Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH): It can be used to treat the signs and symptoms of an enlarged prostate, such as difficulty urinating or a frequent need to urinate. (Note: for BPH, a lower daily dose like 5mg is typical).
- Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH): Another brand of tadalafil (Adcirca) is used in both men and women to treat high blood pressure in the arteries leading to the lungs, which helps improve the ability to exercise.
Dosage and Administration (for ED)
The 10 mg tablet is typically used on an “as needed” basis for erectile dysfunction.
- The usual starting dose for ED is one 10 mg tablet taken at least 30 minutes before anticipated sexual activity.
- It can be taken with or without food.
- The effects can last for up to 36 hours, which allows for more spontaneity.
- Do not take more than one tablet in a 24-hour period.
- Sexual stimulation is required for the medication to work.
