Active Ingredient: Sildenafil citrate 100 mg (a PDE‑5 inhibitor)()

Primary Use:

• Prescribed to treat erectile dysfunction (impotence) in men by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual arousal().
• Also used in other sildenafil applications, such as pulmonary arterial hypertension and benign prostatic hyperplasia, though the 100 mg dose is mainly for ED().

How It Works:
It selectively inhibits phosphodiesterase‑5 enzymes in the penile tissue, relaxing blood vessels and improving erection quality—only effective with sexual stimulation.

Dosage & Onset:

• Take 1 hour before sexual activity (can work in 30–60 minutes); effects last about 3–4 hours.
• Can be taken with or without food, though high‑fat meals may delay onset.
• Do not exceed one dose per day.

Common Side Effects:

• Flushing, headache, dizziness, nasal congestion, indigestion, muscle pain, blurred vision, rash).

Precautions:

• Avoid use with nitrates (e.g., for angina) due to risk of severe low blood pressure.
• Not suitable for individuals with recent heart attack, stroke, severe hypotension/hypertension, or significant liver/kidney impairment.
• May impair vision or alertness—avoid driving if affected.
• Alcohol may worsen side effects and affect efficacy.
