Description

VisuXL Gel is a preservative free ophthalmic gel with lubricating and antioxidant components: Coenzyme Q10, Vitamin E TPGS and cross-linked sodium carboxymethylcellulose.

VisuXL Gel is indicated for both day and night use containing cross-linked sodium carboxymethylcellulose a safe and inert, effective and long lasting lubricant.

Its cross-linking and lack of specific enzymes to degrade the molecule on the surface of the eye, stabilises the carboxymethylcellulose meaning it stays on the eye for longer. Furthermore, the cross-linked sodium carboxymethylcellulose is a hydrogel which has characteristics that mimic natural tears.

The combination of cross-linked sodium carboxymethylcellulose and antioxidant/anti free-radical ingredients makes VisuXL Gel a highly effective treatment in case of:

  • Moderate to severe dry eye;
  • Foreign body trauma;
  • Alterations in the continuity of the corneal and conjunctival surfaces after refractive corneal surgery and corneal transplant. In order to alleviate the typical post-surgical symptoms, VisuXL® Gel acts a cushion between the eyelid and the corneal and conjunctival epithelia;
  • Alterations of ocular surface related to metabolic disorders (diabetes).

All this is provided in a preservative-free multi-dose bottle and can be used while wearing contact lenses.
