Neugalin 50mg Capsule contains Pregabalin which belongs to the group of medicines called Anticonvulsants. It is used in adults to treat neuropathic pain. Neuropathic pain (also known as nerve pain) is a long-lasting pain caused due to damage of nerves fibers present in the body. It is characterized by hot, burning, sharp, shooting, throbbing or stabbing pain sensations with tingling or numbness of body parts. It may also cause mood changes, sleep disturbances and tiredness if nerve fibers supplying the brain are damaged.

Neugalin 50mg Capsule can also be used to treat certain forms of epilepsy (fits or seizures) when used in combination with other anti-epileptic medicines. It may also be effective in treating generalized anxiety disorders (severe anxiety that affects daily activities) when other medicines are not effective.

Pregabalin controls seizure (fits) by reducing the abnormal activity of the nerve cells in the brain. It also reduces the pain by blocking the transmission of pain signals across the nervous system. It relieves anxiety by reducing the release of certain brain chemicals that causes abnormal mood stimulation and anxiety.
