Composition:
Calfina Plus (Tramadol hydrochloride/Acetaminophen) tablets contains tramadol 37.5 mg and acetaminophen 325 mg.
Description:
Calfina Plus contains Tramadol hydrochloride & Acetaminophen. Tramadol is a centrally acting synthetic opioid analgesic. The analgesic profile of tramadol is attributed to the binding of parent and M1 metabolite to μ-opioid receptors and weak inhibition of reuptake of norepinephrine and serotonin. Acetaminophen is a non-opiate, non-salicylate analgesic. Acetaminophen also has centrally acting analgesic effects.
Indications:
Calfina Plus is indicated for management of:
• Postoperative pain
• Musculoskeletal pain
• Backache
• Cirrhotic pain
• Pain of acute pharyngitis, acute tonsillitis, acute otitis media
• Migraine
• Painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy
• Osteoarthritis
• Rheumatoid arthritis
Dosage:
Calfina Plus can be used in adults and children over 16 years of age for the management of acute pain, the recommended dose of Calfina Plus is 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours as needed for pain relief, up to a maximum of 8 tablets per day.
